A good education is a fortune a child can never spend

Rev. Dr Andrew Reed

Many children tell us that they want to focus on their education – the chance to study and to go to school every day.  Others need to find respite from the chaos of their domestic situation, a hot meal and a safe place to sleep.

With our support, boarding gives them the stability of a ‘second home’ where they are cared for, make new friends, explore new opportunities, and get a good education.

They no longer have to face the daily pressures of their difficult home lives, but they still keep in close contact with their families.  They have the space to focus on their school work, to build strong relationships and enjoy simple things, such as regular hot meals, sometimes for the first time in their lives.

We support children and young people at a range of boarding schools (both state and independent), working closely with the schools to make sure they settle in and get the most out of this opportunity.

And our support continues throughout their schooldays, for example with extra counselling, money for sports kit, or a holiday break.

The needs of the child are at the centre of all that we do.

Our intervention transforms lives.
